Hands-On Photoshop: Level One Beginners

Overview:

Photoshop is a very complex package. Many people facing it for the first time can either feel overwhelmed and switch it off, or give it a go and get very confused! But learning the basics is easy for anyone familiar with using a mouse and keyboard, and doing some amazing artwork is possible in just one day.

This course helps by getting you on the right Photoshop footing from the start. It is ideal for anyone who wants to learn the basics and gain the confidence to use this powerful software with their students. No prior knowledge of Photoshop is needed.

Your course will take place in a dedicated ICT venue with full technical back up and your own PC – we do not ask you to bring you own laptop, nor do we provide only one PC linked to a projector for the trainer. We believe the best way for you to learn new computer skills is to have a go yourself in a friendly, supportive environment, with plenty of time for experimentation and ample opportunity to speak to the trainer.

Please note: for those familiar with Photoshop tools, palettes and basic techniques, please refer to our course flyer ‘Hands-On Photoshop: Level Two Intermediate' despatched to your school or college, or click here for another copy.

Main features of the course:

  • Giving complete beginners the skills to produce amazing artwork in just one day
  • Showing just how easy Photoshop can be
  • Gaining the confidence to use Photoshop in the classroom
  • Plenty of time for experimentation in a supportive environment
  • Your own PC set up with all the files for the day. You do not have to bring a laptop – unless you want to!

Course aimed at:

The course is ideal for all teachers wanting to gain the skills to produce their own artwork, and to improve their confidence to use Photoshop with their students. Whether you have tried to use Photoshop before and have given up, or have never previously given it a go, as long as you are ok with using a computer, then this course is for you.
