Overview:
Once you have begun to use Photoshop and it has got its hooks into you, you'll know how addictive it can be! You quickly want to learn more – both for your own artwork, and for use with your students.
This busy, practical course helps to quell your cravings by offering you a whole raft of new skills and techniques to give you fresh confidence and inspiration. Many teachers who attend can't wait to get back to school or college to put what they have learnt into practice.
The course looks at making selections, shows how to add textures, how to use masks, and how to incorporate animation in Image Ready.
Please note: this course requires familiarity with Photoshop tools, palettes and basic techniques. For those new to Photoshop, please refer to our course flyer ‘Hands-On Photoshop: Level One Beginners' despatched to your school or college, or click here for another copy.

The course is ideal for all teachers wanting to increase their skills in producing their own artwork, and to improve their confidence to be able to use more complex Photoshop techniques with their students.

Course programme:
The day starts at 9:30 for registration, and the first session is at 10:00. The course ends at approximately 15:45.
There are refreshments at registration, mid-morning, lunch and mid-afternoon. Full delegate materials and a certificate of attendance support the course.
Session 1 - Working with brushes, blending layers and text: Brushes and brush types Erasing and canvas colour How text works in Photoshop Transforming and distorting Layer blending modes
Session 2 - Type masks, paths and filters: Using paths
Adding, deleting and adjusting anchor points
Creating seamless tiles
Using the extract filter and the liquify filter
Session 3 - Using the extract filter and creating adjustment layers: Automatic adjustments and using adjustments layers
Using the levels command and the curves command
Hue saturation
Channel mixer

Session 4 - Working with multiple layers, layer masks, opacity and creating a simple animation:
