Overview
Are you a Classics teacher looking to maximise the motivation and attainment of your GCSE students? If so, then this course is for you! This lively and practical day focuses on how applying ICT successfully can enhance the teaching of Classics at GCSE in both Latin and Classical Civilisation, and is delivered by an expert in the field of classical computing, Julian Morgan.
Throughout the day, Classics teachers are given an insight into the latest developments in classical computing, and discover how ICT can enhance the effectiveness of their teaching and their students' learning. The day is all about gaining the confidence to use ICT in the classroom, and Julian shows how ICT can be used to motivate students, increase the amount of practice given in important study areas and support coursework assignments.
The course has received excellent feedback: teachers who have attended have praised Julian for being very helpful and clear, and they have described the content as being relevant to the current needs and issues in Classics teaching.
All those who attend have their own PC, which allows plenty of time for experimentation, and numbers on the course are kept low to ensure that everyone has ample opportunity to speak to Julian.
