Course programme

 

The day starts at 9:30 for registration, and the first session is at 10:00. The course ends at approximately 15:45.

 

There are refreshments at registration, mid-morning, lunch and mid-afternoon. Full delegate materials and a certificate of attendance support the course.

Tutor – Eric Needham

Eric Needham

Eric is ideally qualified to train potential Deputy Heads on how to manage successfully. He has many years' experience as Head of Department, Deputy Head of an inner city school and as Head of a secondary school with a sixth form of over 500 students. As Head, Eric gained first-hand knowledge of the skills required to build successful teams: now working as an Educational Consultant, he is keen to share his knowledge to enable others to realise their vision. Eric has management training and organisation experience both for local authorities and a number of universities, and has tutored on many university management courses, working from NQTs through to Heads in the UK and abroad. He is an OFSTED team member and has completed 70 inspections, as well as the training for the newest version of OFSTED. Eric is lead inspector for AEGIS involved in accrediting guardianship organisations caring for overseas students in independent and public schools.
