The busy, lively day is all about offering practical advice that will make a real difference to confidence levels, and it offers practical support and inspiration that can make a real difference in the classroom, the department and the whole school.

The course is ideal for aspiring and newly appointed Heads of RE, or established Heads wishing to review and develop their role.

Course programme:
The day starts at 9:30 for registration, and the first session is at 10:00. The course ends at approximately 15:45.
There are refreshments at registration, mid-morning, lunch and mid-afternoon. Full delegate materials and a certificate of attendance support the course.

Tutor Joyce Mackley:

Joyce is RE Adviser with the RE Today professional services team. She has taught in three LEAs, most recently in Gloucestershire during which time she was seconded as advisory teacher for RE. Joyce provides inset and consultancy nationally, and supports the work of RE in two LEAs through SACRE consultancy and school focussed work. She edited the Secondary RE In Practice Curriculum series for RE Today and writes the current series Developing Secondary RE'. Her previous publications include Looking Inwards Looking Outwards' and A-Z Active Learning Strategies' (RE Today).
