New! Using Workforce Reform To Enhance The Science Department
Overview I Course Programme I Tutor I Dates and Locations | Course Feedback I Booking
Overview:
“The people who work with children are central to keeping them safe and helping them get the most out of life. We want to value the specific skills that people from different professional backgrounds bring, and we also want to break down the professional barriers that inhibit joint working, and tackle recruitment and retention problems.” DfES.
Presented by Beverly Rickwood, this new course offers practical advice on how Science departments can make the workforce reform initiative programme work for them.
The program, which is already having a positive impact on the quality of teaching and learning, looks at making improvements to how all members of the school community work together. During the course, Beverly discusses how Science departments, with such a diverse team, can make best use of the programme to bring real benefits to the success of joint working. Through looking at ‘remodelling the workforce', Beverly offers practical, real-world advice on building and maintaining an effective team through innovative use of support staff.
This busy, lively day is all about offering practical advice, and is more than just a ‘nice to know' presentation. Through looking at case studies and the tools and techniques that are used by remodelling consultants, all those who attend will leave with new skills which they can begin to implement on return to school or college.
Main features of the course:
- Examining the philosophy behind workforce reform
- Analysing the main areas of development and change
- Innovative use of support staff
- Building effective extended teams
- Looking at remodelling tools and techniques
- Considering options for your department
Is this course for me?
